On some jobs we would run the grinders 8 hours a day 5 days per week. Makita brand has yet to do me wrong. Until a Makita chokes the chicken prematurely, I will never look to another brand for power tools. Very reliable. Have only done a few small jobs with this new 4.5" grinder. I have used similar grinders in the 1980s and 1990s.
I have large glove sized hands and the barrel grip was fine for me. Excellent device. This one has more power too so it doesn't bog down.
Money is a distant second to quality, power, control, etc. The soft start and variable speed were a big improvement. I'm a contractor, and I buy the best tools I can find.
Much more control. If you have smaller hands, you might want to check for hand fit before purchase. I bought this to replace the Makita grinder that broke after only 20 years of commercial use (joke).
I was going to get the same model, but decided to upgrade to this one.
It will never let you down and can tackle the toughest jobs. Best grinder for the money. Well worth the extra money for a 12 amp grinder.
I would recommend it. It works well.not too heavy and quite comfortable. This is my first grinder. I bought it to do a friends concrete countertop.
First the slow start avoid kick.Second I use that machine every day since 2 years and bravo, no problemo.
